Are you doing some research or need to find academic periodical articles?
Have you always wanted to know how to use literature searching databases such as Medline, Embase or CINAHL? Then this course is for you!

These sessions cover the basics of planning and executing database literature searches, and saving and exporting references.

These sessions are suitable for searchers who already have some experience and want to develop their skills further. Content includes use of subject thesaurus, proximity searching, refining search results, and combining and deduplicating results from more than one database.
Introduction to Critical Appraisal
This half-day, interactive workshop is for anyone who needs to assess the value of published research. Learners will get an overview of critical appraisal through reviewing a paper describing a randomised controlled trial.
