NHS Athens

Eligible users can access a wide range of online resources through NICE Evidence www.evidence.nhs.uk. To access the databases, e-books and e-journals, you will need an NHS Athens account. See here to check your eligibility and click here to apply for an account.

Healthcare databases

Through NICE Evidence, you can use healthcare databases to search for evidence to support clinical care, healthcare management, research and professional development.  Click here to access AMED, BNI, CINAHL, EMBASE, Health Business Elite, HMIC, Medline and PsycINFO.  You can also search The Cochrane Library and TRIP database.

DynaMed is an evidence based clinical reference tool which provides healthcare professionals with current, unbiased, and relevant clinical information.

DynaMed is now available through Athens for;

  • South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust staff
  • Primary care staff in Lambeth and Southwark
  • Commissioning staff in Lambeth and Southwark

E-journals

Over 1500 e-journals are available to you through NICE Evidence.  Click here to browse by journal title.  Alternatively, use the click-throughs from your database search to go straight to any available full text material.

E-books

Over 200 e-books are available giving you 24/7 access to core healthcare texts.  You can browse these on the library catalogue here or search for a specific title.

BMJ Quality Logo

Reay House Library subscribes to BMJ Quality on behalf of South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. This tool provides you with a step-by-step framework for quality improvement projects; mentors, examples and BMJ Learning modules; and a route publication in BMJ Quality Improvement Reports open access journal.
