Edith Adejobi

Staff Governor

I’m a proud south Londoner who is standing for election as a staff Governor because everyone supported by SLaM should receive consistent good, and safe, care. Staff play a key role in this and I want clinical and non-clinical staff views to be heard as SLaM continues to deliver through tough challenges.

As the Trust’s complaints lead I believe I can offer a perspective from significant experience of working with patients and carers in a range of NHS settings. I have managed a variety of teams in the NHS across the system including complaints, serious incidents, Patient Advice and Liaison (PALS), bereavement, interpreting and patient experience & information.

I am passionate about the NHS, ensuring equity of access to care, and wherever possible using staff and patient voices to shape service improvement and development in our ever changing context. My background and volunteer work gives me particular insight into some of the challenges faced by older service users, children and young people at this time.

Staff have worked to serve our patients during a period of extremely challenging circumstances and we now look ahead to take forward the learning. I want to see that happen and to be involved with using feedback to inform the Trust’s vision, improve patient safety, care, staff well-being, motivation and engagement. BACK TO TEAM
