Coronavirus: Find our Covid-19 information and updates
Our Council of Governors acts as a link between service users, carers, staff, the general public and the Trust's Board of Directors.
They support the Board of Directors in setting the long-term vision for our organisation, and hold the non-executive directors to account for the actions of the Board. Our Board of Directors has a duty to consult, and listen to the views of, the Council of Governors.
James' experience gives him an excellent understanding of mental health services and the wider NHS, and also what good leadership looks like, especially at board level and for non-executive directors.
James brings his perspective as a member of the LGBT community, as well as his experiences of having previously used mental health services. He is deeply passionate about the delivery of high quality mental healthcare to our communities, and believes he can add significant value to the Trust.
With a special interest around access to services for younger people, he relishes the opportunity to contribute to ensuring that the Trust’s future strategy supports its leading status in mental health services.
