Coronavirus: Find our Covid-19 information and updates
Our Council of Governors acts as a link between service users, carers, staff, the general public and the Trust's Board of Directors.
They support the Board of Directors in setting the long-term vision for our organisation, and hold the non-executive directors to account for the actions of the Board. Our Board of Directors has a duty to consult, and listen to the views of, the Council of Governors.
Any of us could need mental health services at some time in our lives. And if that time comes we want them to be effective, caring, free at the point of use, and respectful of patients, carers and of the staff who work in them.
I would like to use my broad experience of mental health services as a retired psychiatrist, an ex-service user, and a specialist advisor to the Care Quality Commission to help SLaM provide the best service they can to my community.
As a permaculture student I am also interested in how SLaM can help address climate change. I am a hardworking, ethical, collaborative person and would be honoured to contribute to this important service to south London.
