Announcing our new City & Guilds learning pathway!
The Estia Centre is now a City & Guilds Assured provider and our Assured programmes are unique to the learning disability sector. For a £15 administrative fee, all our Module Two courses are available as an optional City and Guilds Assured learning pathway. City & Guilds learners will receive substantially more learning support and input on their subject area of choice, such as additional follow-up workshops, inter-workshop activities to embed learning, additional workbooks and materials to support understanding.
We support the development of a competent local learning disabilities workforce, from support staff to experienced managers from a variety of services.

Bespoke and tailored training
Rather than attend one of the open courses advertised in our prospectus, you may find it more beneficial for training to be provided to your whole team so that you can work through your specific needs and challenges. We can provide, adapt and tailor any of our courses so that they can be provided in-house in order to best meet your organisational and team needs.
We can also create new learning and development programmes on other topics relating to the support of adults with learning disabilities and additional mental health needs and on topics relating to the management of teams involved in their care and support.
When tailoring or designing new courses to deliver in-house to your and your team we will work closely with you to best understand your specific needs and most effective mode of learning - whether that be training courses, workshops, seminars or the development of educational and learning materials.
All our courses can be delivered online or in person, whether that be in your organisation or in one of our Estia Centre training venues.
We offer advice and consultation to several service providers both nationally and abroad. The Estia Centre provides consultancy to services working with people with learning disabilities and mental health and/or challenging needs in accordance with:
- White Paper Valuing People: A New Strategy for Learning Disability for the 21st Century (Department of Heath, 2001)
- Green Light Toolkit (Foundation for People with Learning Disabilities, 2004)
The clinical services linked with the Estia Centre, and the expertise of its members in developing and running services for people with a learning disability and mental health and/or challenging needs, allows us opportunities to share experience and knowledge with other services. It also allows us to deliver specially tailored packages to groups, services and organisations. Consultancy is provided on a local, national and international basis.
To find out about consultation services please contact email@example.com.
For all our prospectus courses, if you work for a private (profit making) organisation, an organisation outside of Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham or an NHS trust, the training cost is:
- £200 for a two day workshop
- £100 for a one day workshop
- £50 for a half day workshop
