Lisa is the Principal Clinical Psychotherapist and manager of the Anxiety Disorders Residential Unit (ADRU) and oversees all aspects of residents’ treatment. She believes in the importance of generalising therapy gains from office-based sessions to real life environments and so focus is on recovery and overall well-being rather than just symptom reduction.
She is also passionate about providing good treatment for anxiety disorders, and has interest in teaching mental health professionals, both those working in clinical services and those on training courses, so that they feel confident in working with these conditions.
Lisa has further specialist training in compassion focused therapy and has spoken at several national and international conferences on how the ADRU has tried to embed the principles of compassion focused therapy into the residential environment.
Lisa is extremely proud of the units dedicated, compassionate therapists and volunteers and hopes that treatment at ADRU along with the support from the whole community will help you to move towards a better quality of life.
