Biography

Dr Sarah Thompson is a Principal Clinical Psychologist working within the Service for Complex Autism and Associated Neurodevelopmental Disorders (SCAAND). The SCAAND Service is based at the Michael Rutter Centre for Children and Young People.

Dr Thompson’s specialist interest and expertise lies with children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental conditions including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD and co-morbid mental health and behavioural issues. She also has extensive experience in working with young people with intellectual disabilities who are also presenting with significant mental health needs. Dr Thompson has a long history of working clinically within both community and National and Specialist CAMHS Teams to provide collaborative and comprehensive assessments and interventions to meet the complex mental health needs of young people.
