One Croydon Alliance shortlisted for two HSJ Awards

The One Croydon Alliance is delighted to announce that it has been shortlisted in two categories of the 2020 Health Service Journal Awards, which recognise outstanding contributions to health and social care.

The One Croydon Alliance was formed in 2017 and is made up of Age UK Croydon, Croydon Council, Croydon Health Services NHS Trust, South London and Maudsley NHS Trust,  Croydon GP Collaborative and NHS South West London Clinical Commissioning Group.

South London and Maudsley NHS staff recognised and awarded at RCPsych Awards

The Royal College of Psychiatrists awards ceremony took place on 19 November, where staff from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) were recognised and celebrated for their achievements. Our Chair, Sir Norman Lamb was made an Honorary Fellow with the Royal College of Psychiatrists for his commitment to improve services for people who experience mental ill-health and those with learning disabilities.

The Quality Centre has launched a #datamatters campaign to drive better care for individuals, and to improve services for the benefit of all patients, carers and staff.  ​​​​​​​

For our work with patients we want to capture the type and severity of someone’s problems and needs as well as track their progress, so we’re able to paint a clinical picture over time that we can explore with them.

Using patient data to understand service use and improve care during the COVID-19 pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic and the national response has had an inevitable impact on NHS Trusts and the people they serve across the country. 

CRIS-COVID-19 Rapid Response Initiative is a project led by Robert Stewart and Matthew Broadbent from the Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) team creating a data resource which provides both clinicians and researchers short- and long-term monitoring of clinical outcomes and changes to service use during the COVID-19 pandemic. This has been supported by funding from the King’s Together fund.

Hundreds of young people with eating disorders to benefit from ‘gold standard’ NHS treatment

The NHS has announced that it will scale up an early intervention service to support young people in the early stages of eating disorders.

The new NHS service to be rolled out in 18 sites across the country builds on a successful scheme shown to help 16-25 year olds in London, with one patient describing it as ‘the gold standard’ of care.
