How to access our national and specialist mental health services
If you are a patient, the first step is to see your GP who will help you as much as they can. If they feel you need additional support they may refer you to your local community mental health team (CMHT) for treatment and care.
If your CMHT feels you need more help than they can provide, they may refer you to one of our specialist services. Your CMHT will also need to apply for funding from your local clinical commissioning group (CCG).
We cannot offer informal advice or recommendations by phone or email. The only way of accessing our national and specialist services is through the process described above. Our involvement begins when we receive a funded referral to one of our specialist services.
