Employment Support

Work can be important for your mental health and wellbeing.  Not everyone wants to work, but if you do, help is available.
 
We provide support to people who are unemployed as well as those having difficulties at work.  There are two types of support: the Work Well Advice Line and Supported Employment.
 
Work Well Advice Line
 
The Work Well Advice Line provides free confidential advice for people with mental health problems who are looking for work or having difficulty at work.
 
To access the Work Well Advice Line call 020 3228 2041 and leave your name and number.  Or you can request a call back on the Work Well website.  An Employment Specialist will call you back within 48 hours, from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. 
 
Supported Employment
 
Your care team can tell you if they offer Supported Employment: this is a package of personalised support from an Employment Specialist based within your care team.  Your Employment Specialist will work closely with you to help you find a job and will continue to support you when you start work.
 
If your care team does not offer Supported Employment, the Work Well Advice Line can put you in touch with other organisations in your area who also offer employment support.
