Genetic Links to Anxiety and Depression (GLAD)

The Genetic Links to Anxiety and Depression (GLAD) study is a project set up to support studies exploring risk factors for depression and/or anxiety. It is led by the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Mental Health BioResource and researchers at King’s College London, in collaboration with researchers at Ulster University, University of Edinburgh, and Cardiff University.

To take part in the GLAD study, you must:

  • have experienced clinical anxiety and/or depression during your life
  • be aged 16 or above
  • live in the UK

The UK Clinical Trials Gateway has now been replaced with Be Part of Research.

Be Part of Research is an NIHR website to help you find out about health and social care research that is taking place across the UK.

The website allows anyone to search for studies that are open to recruitment by keyword and location, as well as filtering by condition, for example ‘anxiety’.

Join Dementia Research

The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), in partnership with Alzheimer ScotlandAlzheimer's Research UK and Alzheimer's Society, have developed Join Dementia Research. This a service which allows people to register their interest in participating in dementia research and be matched to suitable studies.
