  1. Eden Ward

    Eden Ward Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is in Lambeth Hospital. We provide low secure, psychiatric hospital care for men, aged 18-65, who have severe and ongoing mental health problems. We care for people who live in the London Borough of Lambeth.

    Our team includes health and social care staff from a range of professions. We provide assessments, treatment and intensive nursing care.

    A small number of people are brought to hospital under Section 136 of the Mental Health Act. This is a power that police officers can use if someone is in a public place and the police have concerns about them. We have a separate, designated place of safety, a '136 Suite' (Place of Safety), where they can be admitted, assessed and cared for. The police also have powers under the Mental Capacity Act to take someone, either from a public place or their home, to a place of safety - normally this would be to an Emergency Department.

  2. Florence Ward

    Florence ward is a 15-bedded mixed gender ward for adults aged 18-65 situated at Lambeth Hospital. We provide care for those living with acute mental illness who live in the London Borough of Lambeth.

    We provide inpatient psychiatric assessment, treatment and care to help reduce the risk of harm to self and others. We bring together different professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses and social carers who work with the patient and their carers. We help people to maintain their health and move on to live more independently in their communities.

    The Outpatients Department at Lambeth Hospital, provides assessment, treatment and care for people, aged 18-65, who have mental health problems. We also provide a specialist clinic for people with learning disabilities.

    We care for people who live in the London Borough of Lambeth (North and South West).

    Our team of health and social care professionals provide a range of clinics and therapies to support people's mental health and physical needs.

  5. Southwark Community Forensic Mental Health Team

    Southwark Community Forensic Team based at Landor House, Lambeth Hospital who care for people who have a permanent address in the London Borough of Southwark and provide community-based assessment, treatment and care for people, aged 18-65.

    A Forensic community team provide care for people with offending histories who, with appropriate care and treatment, pose a low risk to the public. They may also be subject to Home Office restrictions, Probation Orders or have judicial proceedings outstanding.

    The team is made up of psychiatrists, community psychiatric nurses, social workers Psychologists and occupational therapists.

    Who work closely with the police, the public protection unit and the local Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangement (MAPPA) team to support people in the community

  6. Tony Hillis Unit

    Our unit is in Lambeth Hospital. We offer services for men, aged 18-65, who have been detained on Sections 3 or 37 under the Mental Health Act 1983. We care for people with treatment resistant psychosis, with or without mild personality disorders; drug and alcohol misuse; and challenging behaviour. Psychosis involves distorted perceptions of reality, thinking, feeling, hearing and seeing often with symptoms of hallucinations and delusions.

    We provide care for people in our local community and from all over the UK

    We provide assessment and rehabilitation in hospital. Our service brings together different health and social care professionals, including nurses, occupational therapists and psychiatrists.

    We help people to maintain their health and move on to live more independently in their community.

  7. Ward in the Community

    Our Residential Unit (Lambeth Hospital) is a low secure, residential forensic rehabilitation unit in Landor Road. It has four flats. We provide assessment, treatment and care for men and women, aged, 18-65, who have mental health problems and who require intensive rehabilitation into the community.

    We care for people who live in the London Borough of Lambeth.

    A Low Secure Service provides inpatient care and treatment for people with offending behaviour who pose a low level of risk to the public.

    We help people to develop living skills, including looking after their rooms and cooking. We also provide support with work-related and education opportunities. Our aim is to move people on towards greater independence in their communities.

    We work together with our team of health and social care professionals, residents and their carers.

    The treatments we provide include substance misuse groups, anger management groups and one to one therapy sessions.
