About

Dr Catherine Lankester is a Senior Clinical Psychologist with the Psychological Interventions Clinic for Outpatients with Psychosis (PICuP), where she sees clients for psychological therapy and family interventions. She supervises professionals working with people with psychosis across a number of different NHS trusts, trainee clinical psychologists completing their doctorate in clinical psychology and for UCL on the Postgraduate Certificate in CBT for Psychosis. Dr Lankester has extensive experience working with people with psychosis as well as their families and carers, across early intervention services and community mental health teams. She also has a passion for working with those with lived experience of psychosis, providing overall leadership and management for PICuP’s peer support service.

Education and Training

Dr Lankester graduated with a BSc Psychology from the University of Southampton and following work as an assistant psychologist over a number of years, she went on to complete her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at UCL (DClinPsy; 2014). More recently she has completed further specialist training with a postgraduate certificate in CBT for Psychosis (PGCert: UCL; 2023) and as an associate tutor on the postgraduate diploma in cognitive behavioural family interventions in psychosis (FIp).
