We have been trained in the “Therapeutic Assessment” and attempt to use this either at the point of A&E presentation, or at their follow-up appointment. Cases who we see for follow-ups would have tailored therapeutic support. However, this is not specific therapy, but more based upon a support role. We often will provide DBT based skills to assist with coping in a crisis.
Our crisis team covers 9am – 5pm during the week. On these days, there is a clinician on-call from the crisis team and also a consultant psychiatrist who covers between 9am – 5pm.
