Our research sets the standard for new ideas and innovations in mental healthcare.
Our aim is to put research at the core of everything we do, so we can continually improve our clinical care.
We are doing this by giving our service users the opportunity to take part in research and our staff opportunities to develop and deliever studies. Through research we will create new treatments and improved services.
We work closely with our world leading partners to deliver ground breaking mental health research. Together we work to improve population health and wellbeing on an international scale.
Our research partners set the standard in terms of new ideas and innovations that continue to make significant improvements to both our understanding and treatment of mental health and the quality of life for those impacted.
We carry out a large amount of research into the symptoms
and causes of mental health conditions, from illnesses
occurring in children to those occurring in older adults.
The Clinical Record Interactive Search (CRIS) system has been developed for use within our NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre.
The South East London Community Health Study (SELCoH) is a study of randomly selected households within Southwark and Lambeth. It is funded by the National Institute for Health Research Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre.
