Background

Jessica is a Practitioner Psychologist registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC). Jessica completed a BSc in Psychology at the University of Bath (including a clinical placement year at Great Ormond Street Hospital Wolfson Neurodisability Service) and a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at the University of Roehampton. Pre-qualification, Jessica worked with children, adolescents and young adults with neurodevelopmental diagnoses and their families in a range of community settings. During doctoral training, Jessica gained a breadth of experience working within child and adult mental health services across NHS and charity sectors.

Jessica currently works as a Counselling Psychologist for the Autism and Intellectual Disabilities Intensive Intervention Team (AID-IIT). AID-IIT works across London to support young people with ASC and/or ID who are at risk of a psychiatric inpatient admission. Jessica has a special interest in adapting psychological interventions for individuals with ASC, disordered eating, and co-occurring emotional regulation difficulties.

Other roles/projects:

Jessica has delivered teaching on adapting psychological interventions for individuals with ASC and ID across community and inpatient settings. Jessica has experience contributing to service development initiatives and took an active role in the expansion of the Central and Northwest London NHS trust Under 5’s Service across the outer London boroughs.
