We support people, aged 18-65, who are in contact with mental health services, to become more included in their community. We provide paid and voluntary work for people who live in the London Borough of Lambeth.

Vocation Matters is a user led project. We provide time-unlimited, vocational information and support for people who are in contact with mental health services. We cover education, employment, training, volunteering and welfare.  We also provide information to health professionals when required.

Referral to the project is simple: Service users can self refer, or a health professional can do so on their behalf. All that is required is a phone call or email, and a suitable date and time will be arranged for an initial appointment to see how we can help.

STATUS Employment is a registered charity which aims to assist people with mental health issues in finding and retaining paid employment.

We work with people with mental health issues to get into work or move closer to the job market. This can be through education; training, paid work or volunteering. We'll start by helping you to identify your current skills, look at your aspirations and help you to gain and retain employment in a supportive work environment.

We'll work with the employer to ensure that the job is right for you and to ensure that any necessary adjustments to the job are put in place.

Time Bank Lambeth is a new and exciting way for people to come together to help others, and help themselves at the same time. Participants 'deposit' their time in the bank by giving practical help and support to others and are able to 'withdraw' their time when they need something done themselves. This way Time Bank rewards the time people spend building networks and encourages and contributes to the building of community by linking people up.

One of the principles of Time Bank is equality. One hour of help equals one time credit, whether the task is babysitting, DIY work or befriending. Another principle in Time Bank is that everybody has something to give, and everybody therefore participates as a giver and a receiver.
