Teresa has a particular interest and expertise in psychological therapy approaches for long term health conditions and in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) for common mental health difficulties such as depression, trauma and anxiety.
She has extensive experience in working with patients with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and enduring mental health problems and their carers. She is committed to the social model of disability and has experience of working in a Disabled People's Organisation. She started working for PICuP in 2018.
Teresa provides supervision on the Post Graduate Diploma in CBT at the Royal Holloway University. She also works as a senior clinician in an IAPT service where she supervises senior therapists and is part of the Senior Management Team. She is interested in addressing depression and anxiety in the context of psychotic illnesses, as well as psychological difficulties with physical health that this client group often presents with.
