Biography

Dr Angie Lewis is a BABCP accredited Principal Clinical Psychologist at the National and Specialist OCD, BDD and Related Disorders Service for Children and Young People. She has worked at the service since 2013, providing specialist assessment and evidence-based treatment to children and young people with OCD and BDD across the country.

Angie is dedicated to improving access to specialist services for children and young people. She led on a teaching and training initiative designed to disseminate specialist skills to clinicians across the UK. Angie has been the lead for Clinical Psychology across Devon CAMHS and Programme Lead for CYP-IAPT CBT training at the University of Exeter, training clinicians in high quality CBT across the south west region. She is now based in Devon, where she is piloting her role as the service’s first satellite clinician.

Angie has extensive experience teaching and training across both academic and clinical settings. She is a peer-reviewed author and has contributed chapters to books on both OCD and BDD.

 

Area of Expertise

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Body Dysmorphic Disorder. I am particularly interested in improving young people’s access to specialist services.
