DIAMONDS is a 6 month supported self-management programme to help people make lifestyle changes to live better with diabetes and mental health
We are a running a study to find out if the DIAMONDS programme works
We need adults from different backgrounds who have diabetes and a severe mental illness to participate

Conditions

Severe Mental Illness

Inclusion Criteria

Adults (aged 18 years or older) with confirmed diagnosis of severe mental illness (SMI, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, severe depression) and type 2 diabetes.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Cognitive impairments
  • Gestational diabetes, type 1 diabetes, diabetes due to a specific genetic defect or secondary to pancreatitis or endocrine conditions
  • Impaired T4 to participate
