Croydon PICU recognised as the first accredited PICU in the Trust!
The Croydon PICU team have become the first accredited PICU in the Trust. Through significant challenges in the process, the team demonstrated determination, resilience and unwavering commitment. The team have shared below how they feel having received this:
"Today, we celebrate being recognised as the first accredited PICU in the Trust, a remarkable achievement that reflects the collective dedication of every team member.
Achieving this accreditation is a proud milestone for our team and a recognition of the significant work undertaken across a range of areas including staff training compliance, effective deterioration management through eObs, quality improvement initiatives such as psychological safety, family-centred care programmes, sustainability projects, and strong multidisciplinary collaboration aimed at enhancing patient safety and improving the experience of patients and their families.
Through exceptional teamwork and a shared commitment to excellence, the team has consistently demonstrated the highest standards of care. This achievement belongs to every member of staff whose dedication, professionalism, and compassion make a meaningful difference every day. Their collective efforts have been instrumental in creating a safe, supportive, and high-quality environment for service users, families, and colleagues alike.
