Next wards making the move to New Douglas Bennett House
Next week two wards will be the latest to move into New Douglas Bennett House (NDBH). LEO unit will be moving on Tuesday 8 September, followed by Eden ward on Wednesday 9 September.
Both wards will be making the transition from Lambeth Hospital, and we are looking forward to welcoming them into NDBH – a purpose-built therapeutic space which will better support high-quality care and recovery, and improve our staff’s wellbeing.

Eden ward is a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit and LEO unit provides services for men with acute mental health problems.
They will be the fifth and six wards to make the move, following Lishman unit which moved at the end of August. Following their move in, Lishman staff and service users shared that they were feeling settled and comfortable in their new space, noting that the transition was a lot smoother than they expected.
Eden and Leo will be following the same smooth and efficient transition process as previous wards. Staff in both teams will be supporting service users through this transition.
