Over 50 staff members recognised for successful completion of apprenticeships

The Trust Learning and Development team here at South London and Maudsley hosted an event to celebrate the latest cohort of 58 graduates who have successfully completed their qualifications.
These qualifications are designed to support individuals to learn, grow and develop in their chosen fields with nationally recognised qualifications. Apprenticeships play an important role in building a skilled, confident and future‑ready workforce.
The event - sponsored by two of the Trust’s apprenticeship providers: Pearson TQ and Arden University - highlighted both individual achievements and the Trust’s ongoing commitment to developing talent, widening access to careers, and supporting colleagues at every stage of their professional journey.
Ade Odunlade, Interim Chief Executive at South London and Maudsley said: “I’d like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to you on your achievement today. As a Trust, we strongly believe in the value of ongoing learning and continuous professional development, so our staff can deliver excellent care. Completing your apprenticeship is both a testament to your hard work and determination and helps to make our Trust a great place to work and care.
“As you take the next steps in your career, I encourage you to keep learning and developing your skills, because your growth has a direct impact on the lives of the people and communities we serve. We are proud of all you’ve accomplished and look forward to seeing the incredible impact you will make. Congratulations and thank you."
Vanessa Smith, Chief Nurse at South London and Maudsley added, “In all that you do there is perseverance, there is resilience, and there is belief in yourself, there is belief in the vision. We look forward to continuing to support you and your development. So, thank you to all, and congratulations.”
The latest cohort of graduates have shown exceptional dedication and hard work throughout their programme. We are proud to recognise these achievements in career development journeys and would like to wish all the graduates the very best as they take the next step in their careers.
