Colleagues across the Trust have been celebrating Black History Month this October. Patients and staff on Spring Ward enjoyed a feast of African and Caribbean food and culture at their Black History Month celebration.

2020 is the International Year of the Nurse and Midwife, a time to reflect on the skills, commitment and expert clinical care that nurses and midwives bring, and the impact they make on the lives of so many.

I’ve been at SLaM for three years as a nurse on the Eating Disorders Inpatient Unit at Bethlem Hospital. I work with patients who have eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia and diabulimia (which is a combination of diabetes and bulimia).
