Shape the Future of Mental Health: Non-Executive Directors Needed

At South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, our mission is clear: to improve the lives of people and communities by promoting mental health and wellbeing for all. Operating across more than 90 sites in south London and beyond, we are at the forefront of mental health delivery, offering both core services and specialised treatments nationwide.

The Opportunity

We are seeking two Non-Executive Directors to join our high-performing Board and collaborate closely with the Council of Governors. This is a pivotal role where your expertise will help shape our strategic direction and ensure the delivery of exceptional mental health services. We are particularly looking for individuals who bring skills in financial stewardship, informatics and digital strategies, strategic estates, and/or commercial acumen.

Why Join Us?

Our ambitious five-year strategy, Aiming High; Changing Lives, sets a bold vision to provide outstanding treatment and support to every individual, enabling their recovery and fostering fulfilling lives. As a "Good" rated Trust by the CQC and a cornerstone of the South London Mental Health and Community Partnership, we are committed to excellence and innovation in mental health care.

Who We Are Looking For

Ideal candidates will possess a strong connection to mental health and the communities we serve. Your passion for quality and excellence should match the dedication of our workforce. Crucially, you should have the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders and navigate complex networks to drive positive outcomes for our patients and service users.

Diversity and Inclusion

Diversity is integral to our success. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where all individuals are valued and respected. We actively encourage applications from candidates with protected characteristics and lived experience of mental ill health, as this enriches our perspectives and enhances our service delivery.
