VCSE Inreach Project
We are pleased to announce a new funding opportunity from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) for local grassroots voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations (VCSEs), to deliver evening and weekend activities on our acute adult mental health inpatient wards in Croydon, Lewisham, Lambeth, and Southwark.
What is the project?
What is the project?
The VCSE Inreach Project is an opportunity for local VCSEs to have a positive impact on our wards and build meaningful connections with our service users by delivering structured activities over a 12-month period.
Our ten successful local community organisations are: Amuru, Come out of hiding, Enable, Floating Counselling, Genesis Impact, Key Changes, Knowledge and Practice, Maroon Fitness, Off the Ropes and PTP Usemi.
The programme will offer a range of creative, physical and wellbeing-focused sessions, designed in collaboration with ward teams and service users. Activities include:
- Group fitness and movement sessions adapted for wards
- Music-based workshops focusing on expression and enjoyment
- Therapeutic arts and creative writing sessions
These sessions will be delivered over evenings and weekends to introduce structured activities and reduce feelings of isolation and boredom.
