Khaled Simmons appointed as Non-Executive Director
South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to announce the appointment of Khaled Simmons as Non-Executive Director.
Khaled is a highly accomplished business leader with over 30 years of professional experience across a range of industries, spanning strategic growth, corporate governance, sales, marketing, and user experience, as well as start-up growth and investor relations.
In recent years he has held Chief Commercial Officer, Non-Executive and Advisory Board roles, in the clean energy, cybersecurity and educational technology sectors, helping businesses secure investment and growth through innovation, partnership, and operational excellence.
Khaled previously held leadership roles in strategy and transformation consulting, working with large-scale private and public sector organisations across a wide range of business challenges, including growth strategy, supply chain transformation, leadership development and governance.
Khaled has been actively involved in the NHS for over a decade, serving as an elected Governor at St George’s University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust since 2013, where he held Non-Executive Directors to account and represented the interests of patients and the public. As a Chartered Ergonomist and Human Factors Specialist, his work with the NHS also includes advising on hospital design projects to improve the quality and safety of the patient experience.
