South London and Maudsley Honours Staff at 2025 Staff Awards

Staff Awards 2025

South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust proudly recognised the dedication and achievements of its staff at the prestigious Staff Awards ceremony on Wednesday 5 March.

Sponsored by the Maudsley Charity, the ceremony brought together over 200 colleagues from across the Trust to honour their outstanding contributions across 12 award categories, celebrating the impact they make in improving the lives of patients, carers and communities across Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham, Croydon and nationally.

David Bradley, Chief Executive said:

Each year, I am inspired by the dedication, compassion, and outstanding contribution shown by our staff, and this year is no exception.

With over 550 nominations submitted for this year’s Staff Awards, we celebrate not just individual achievements, but the collective commitment to delivering outstanding care. The stories we’ve heard remind us of the incredible impact our teams have on patients, carers and communities, day in day out.

Addressing attendees at the ceremony Sir Norman Lamb, Chair of the Trust said:

It is important to recognise and celebrate not only those working on the clinical frontline, supporting people in often vulnerable circumstances, but also those in vital support roles who make the work of clinicians possible. Every member of this organisation, at every level, plays a crucial role. So, thank you to everyone.

Dr. Kevin Vento, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, who accepted the Individual of the Year Award said:

I am very pleased to accept this award. I know this is a team effort as I wouldn’t be able to achieve the things I’ve achieved without my team, so this is not just for me. It’s for the Croydon Directorate and the services that I work in.

Atika Ziblim, Recruitment Attraction Officer, who accepted the Equality and Diversity Award said:

I’m so happy and I’m so proud. We all do such a great job at South London and Maudsley and it’s just so nice to be recognised and celebrated in this way. Thank you to everybody who voted for me.
