Staff Support Team win national award for Wellbeing Matters Project

We’re thrilled to share that our incredible Staff Support Team has won a National Positive Practice in Mental Health Award for their outstanding work on the Wellbeing Matters Project.

This prestigious recognition, awarded in the Mental Wellbeing of Staff category, highlights the team’s unwavering commitment to supporting the emotional and psychological health of colleagues across the Trust.

Funded by Maudsley Charity and NHS Charities Together, the two-year Wellbeing Matters Project has made a profound impact on our workplace culture—fostering compassion, resilience, and care through meaningful staff engagement and wellbeing initiatives.

Dr Clair Pollard, Head of Psychology and Psychotherapy, shared her pride in the team’s achievement:

“I’m sure you’ll all join me in congratulating this brilliant, small (but mighty) team who do so much for our workforce. I am very proud of all of them.”

Annie Fellows, who led the project, said:

“We are very excited and proud to have won a National Positive Practice in Mental Health Award for the Wellbeing Matters Project. It's been really rewarding and inspiring to lead this project and meet so many staff across the Trust who are passionate about supporting the wellbeing of our workforce. Thank you to my Staff Support Team colleagues, Wellbeing Advocates, and everyone who has attended and supported our wellbeing events.”

Hannah Strang, Staff Support Lead, added:

“We are very excited about the award and I feel privileged to lead such a passionate and dedicated team. I’m so happy that the work has received national recognition. It is a fantastic achievement for the whole team and for everyone who has supported us during the project.”

Rawle Ragoobar, Deputy Staff Support Lead, also expressed his pride:

“I feel incredibly proud of our Staff Support Team. I am grateful and humbled to receive this award. It is fantastic to see the ‘Wellbeing Matters Project’, led by Annie Fellows, getting the recognition that it fully deserves. Thank you to everyone involved in supporting this project.”

The Staff Support Team’s dedication continues to make a positive difference to the lives of our staff, and this recognition is a testament to their passion, innovation, and hard work.
