Empowering Change: Adinah’s Vision for Innovation and Collaboration
At South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, we believe in innovation, inclusivity, and compassion. Adinah Erb, Principal CAMHS Specialist and Team Lead of the Family Partnership Model Team, within the Centre for Parent and Child Support, N&S CAMHS, embodies these values working tirelessly to foster meaningful change and amplify the voices of her team and the communities they serve.
Adinah combines her creative and professional expertise to inspire new ideas and drive progress. Her leadership is grounded in authenticity, collaboration, and a commitment to creating a more inclusive future.
Adinah explains:
It’s about showing people that we are more than a service – we are a community that listens, understands, and supports.
Championing Her Team’s Impact
Adinah leads a team dedicated to creating, implementing and sustaining positive change across systems and workforces, by providing evidence-based reflective practice learning, training and workshops, resources and critical support for organisations and commissioners, which creates positive and lasting outcomes for parents, children, young people and families. But Adinah recognises that their work sometimes goes under-recognised and she is determined to put this right by:
- Highlighting innovative courses and therapeutic programmes that support families and young people.
- Sharing success stories from families who have benefited from the team’s services.
- Creating a more accessible and interactive platform for users to navigate support options with ease.
By doing this, Adinah hopes to make it easier for families to access the support they need while showcasing the dedication and expertise of her team.
Advocating for Innovation and Inclusion
Adinah’s passion for innovation is evident in her efforts to embrace new ideas across the organisation. She believes in the potential of digital platforms and cross-departmental collaboration to create lasting impact.
One exciting project Adinah is working on is a podcast series for Croydon Council. The series focuses on the experiences of parents – particularly fathers – as they navigate the challenges of raising newborns.
Sharing these stories can be incredibly powerful. It’s about creating a sense of community and reminding people that they are not alone.
Adinah also advocates for fostering a culture of inclusion and collaboration within the Trust. She is passionate about empowering staff at all levels to share their talents and ideas, which she sees as a driving force for transformative change.
Innovation doesn’t just come from leadership – it comes from everyone working together and thinking creatively.
A Vision for the Future
Looking forward, Adinah envisions a future where the Trust reflects professional excellence alongside care and compassion. She believes in moving beyond rigid ways of thinking to create an organisation that is dynamic, inclusive, and connected to the communities it serves.
The train of change is moving, and we all need to be on board.
Through collaborative projects, digital innovation, and amplifying the voices of her team, Adinah is paving the way for a brighter future.
It’s about doing it in a way that truly resonates with people. When we connect authentically, we build trust and make a lasting impact.
