Most people who are receiving support from a South London and Maudsley mental health service can use a Work Well employment service.
This includes people who are:
out of work and want help to find a job
are working and need support to stay in work
Our services are completely voluntary - we support people who want to work, but there’s no pressure. If you’re not ready yet, that’s okay too.
We have ten teams based across Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham, and Southwark.
We know that good work can support mental health recovery. Our services are guided by research and evidence about work and mental health to provide the best support for you.
Being out of work for a long time can harm your mental health.
Not all jobs are equal – poor work environments, insecure employment, and work that is stressful can make your mental health worse.
Good work that is enjoyable and fits well with your life has the best impact on your mental health and wellbeing.
Decent employment can benefit anyone who wants to work, no matter your diagnosis.
