Today is the start of LGBT+ History Month 2024, and all month long we will be recognising and celebrating the rich tapestry of experiences within our community.

This year's LGBT+ History Month theme, Medicine, celebrates the contributions of LGBT+ individuals to the fields of Medicine and Healthcare. We are enormously proud and thankful for the and outstanding contribution our LGBT+ colleagues make and their dedication to providing the very best care every day. But also recognise the historical complexities in the LGBT+ community's access to healthcare, persisting health inequalities.
Month long events
Our LGBTQ+ Staff Network, Equalities Team, and Rainbow Allies Campaign colleagues have organised a packed programme of events, including Q&As and discussions where we will shine a light on LGBT+ staff experiences at out Trust and beyond.
Inclusive care
During LGBT+ History Month, let's come together as a community to not only acknowledge our diversity but actively celebrate it. We encourage everyone to reflect on our shared history, recognising the challenges overcome and victories achieved. We are commitment to building an inclusive environment for our staff and our service users and cares, where every individual feels valued and respected.
