Be Part of Research: “I feel that my experiences are helping to improve understanding and to shape future treatments.”

On Tuesday 20 May we celebrated International Clinical Trials Day, with stalls and activities in the Maudsley Hospital outpatients waiting room. If you would like to get involved, v olunteers can sign up through the Trust’s Take Part in Research listings of local mental health studies, which are searchable by condition or criteria, and are open to all including those with an existing mental health condition.

We are also proud to be supporting the NIHR’s Be Part of Research service which lists opportunities to take part in health and care research across the country.

Research Delivery team supporting recruitment targets for research in the Trust

The Research Delivery team supports delivery of commercial and portfolio studies in the Trust, and provides support to other NIHR and academic studies. The team offers specialist input to ensure studies meet their recruitment targets. A recent success story was a study exploring sexual and reproductive health in people with serious mental illness, earlier this year. The team provided strategic guidance and promoted the study within their networks of staff, Research Champions and service user groups. To get in touch with the team and to find out how they can support your study, please contact researchdeliveryteam@slam.nhs.uk
