Area of expertise

· Persistent Physical Symptoms such as chronic fatigue, chronic pain, PoTS and IBS

· Functional Neurological Disorders; dissociative seizures, functional weakness, movement disorders.

· Neurological disorders (Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson Disease, Epilepsy, Tourettes Syndrome) with secondary mood disorders such as anxiety and depression.

· Special interest in CBiTS and Habit Reversal Therapy for the management of Tourettes, Tics and Functional Tic disorders

Background

Clare Grey is the Lead Psychotherapist and Manager for the Persistent Physical Symptoms Service at Maudsley NHS Trust. She has worked with long-term conditions as well as medically unexplained symptoms and Tic disorders at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and Maudsley Hospital.

Clare has also worked at the national INPUT Pain Management Service at St Thomas’ Hospital London, during which time she worked with patients with chronic pain alongside secondary mental health difficulties.

She works with the age span of adolescents to older adults.
