Maggie Brennan

My job at the Estia Centre is called an 'Expert by Experience'. I bring my lived experience to the Estia Centre, to plan and deliver training. I have a mild learning disability and have experienced mental illness. I have experience supporting other people with learning disability to travel. I am a representative at Lambeth Assembly.

 

In my job at Estia I co-design and co-deliver training for health and social care workers to help them understand and meet the needs of people with a learning disability and mental illness. I am an Oliver McGowan co-trainer. I also help make the easy-read version of the Learning from lives and deaths – People with a learning disability and autistic people (LeDeR) report.
