Join the Be Well Challenge to mark Great Mental Health Day 2023

Great Mental Health Day is an annual celebration of the power of community kindness and how we can support each other to stay well.

Today, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust are marking Great Mental Health Day 2023, by proudly supporting the Be Well Challenge - an initiative from the Freeyourmind campaign in partnership with South London Listens.

Sir Norman Lamb, Chair of South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, and Co-Chair of the South London Listens Taskforce said: “From Friday, through the whole of February, we're encouraging and supporting people to take steps to improve and promote good mental health and wellbeing.

“Evidence shows that small things, from acts of kindness, to being active, or connecting with friends, can make a positive difference. Do something small today to help yours and other people’s mental health.”

There’s lots of ways you can take part in the #BeWellChallenge, from sharing ways you’re looking after your mental health and wellbeing on social media, to participating in new activities. Find out more - https://nhsfreeyourmind.co.uk/be-well-challenge/

South London Listens was launched in November 2020, by the three mental health Trusts in south London. Over the last two years, the partnership has worked together with local authorities, Integrated Care Systems and community organisations to prevent people’s lives being affected by mental ill-health. This year is the second Great Mental Health Day, a campaign run by ThriveLDN to encourage people to talk about mental health and remove the stigma that so often surrounds asking for help.
