Higher rates of HIV diagnoses found amongst mental health service users
New National Institute for Health and Care Research Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre supported research has found HIV is two-and-a-half times more frequent in people who use mental health services than the general population in south London.

South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust has joined King’s International Consortium, along with King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, The Christie NHS Foundation Trust and Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as part of the group.
