Shortlist Announced for Staff Awards 2023
South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust have announced their shortlist for the 2023 Staff Awards.
The Staff Awards are held every year to recognise the hard work and dedication of Trust staff and reward them for the exceptional care they give to their patients and communities. This year's Awards are proudly sponsored by Maudsley Charity and we are extremely grateful for their support, you can find out more about their work here.
This year, the Trust received 591 nominations, more than double the number of previous years. The judging panel, which was made up of service users, staff networks and previous winners, found it extremely difficult to select their shortlists and winners.
The Chief Executive and Chair's Award are being chosen by Chair Norman Lamb and Chief Executive David Bradley, with winners being announced at the ceremony.
Norman Lamb, Chair of South London and Maudsley, said,
“Staff in the NHS dedicate their careers to caring for others, not for an award but because they are passionate about helping people; they deserve to be recognised and know the difference they make. Thank you to everyone who made a nomination, this will mean so much to the teams and individuals who have made such outstanding contributions to the services our Trust delivers.
David Bradley, Chief Executive, said,
“The record number of nominations received this year shows what a difference our people are making to the communities we serve. It shows how much this work means to people and how important it is. I hope this overwhelming response encourages more people struggling with mental health to reach out and ask for support. Our people are here to help, they deliver outstanding care, and they want to help you recover.
