Powell Ward is in the Ladywell Unit at University Hospital Lewisham. We provide services for men, aged 18-65, with acute psychiatric illnesses. Acute illnesses start quickly and have distressing symptoms. We provide care for people who live in the London Borough of Lewisham and outside borough

We offer psychiatric assessment, care and treatment in hospital, which helps reduce the risk to self and others.

  • Business Hours/Visiting Hours:

    Provides care for 24 hours, 7 days per week. Visiting times 2.00pm - 5.30pm and 6.30pm - 8.00pm . Children can visit at short notice but this must be agreed with nurse in charge. Visiting at other times can be arranged but needs to be negotiated.
