Industrial action update - What you need to know

Important information for patients during the junior doctor strike

The British Medical Association (BMA) has announced junior doctors will take part in a 72-hour strike from 7am on Monday 13 March until 7am on Thursday 16 March.

The strike action might impact some services run by our Trust. We are working hard to make sure we can continue the safe delivery of our clinical services on the strike days. However, to help us safely manage the impact of the strikes, we will need to postpone some non-urgent appointments scheduled for the strike days.

Our teams will contact you directly if we need to re-schedule your appointment and will do this as quickly as possible. If you have an appointment and have not been contacted, please assume this is going ahead and attend your appointment.

If we have not contacted you, please attend your appointment as planned. The NHS will contact you if your appointment needs to be rescheduled due to strike action.

Regardless of any strike action taking place, it is really important that patients who need urgent mental health care continue to come forward as normal. Help is available if you, or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis and you can find contact informaiton, including our mental health support line here

Thank you for your support and co-operation.

Please continue to check back for further updates on how the strikes will affect our services.
