Sally Brown

I bring lived experience of autism alongside many years of professional experience across training, consultancy, finance, healthcare and organisational development.

My recognition and understanding of my own autistic traits came later in life. Looking back with that understanding has helped me make sense of hurdles, reactions and challenges that I could not always explain at the time. Just as importantly, it has helped me recognise how those same characteristics have contributed to who I am and to many of my strengths – including curiosity, determination, attention to detail, problem solving and a tendency to question when something does not make sense.

This perspective enables me to bring autism to life beyond definitions and theory, exploring how communication, environments, expectations and assumptions can affect an autistic person’s experience. I am particularly interested in helping people recognise how differently autism can present and in encouraging curiosity rather than assumption.

Professionally, I am an experienced trainer, consultant and coach and have designed and delivered learning across healthcare, public sector and organisational settings, including leadership and management development, safeguarding, governance, compliance and organisational change.
